Hermione is the brightest witch her age, and we think, possibly more brilliant than many older witches and wizards.
She took a lot of subjects during her school time and was interested in learning anything within her grasp. Ron often teased Hermione for trying to read every single book in Hogwarts Library. And what happened with Hermione after the war? We think she got what she worked for.

What Did Hermione Do After The Battle of Hogwarts?

After the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione went to Australia to find her parents and restore their memories.
After removing herself from her parents’ memories, Hermione sent them to Australia to save their lives from being used against her by Death Eaters. After the Battle, Hermione tracked down her parents and undid the charm she performed.
With the start of the new school term after the Battle, Hermione returned to the renovated school to finish her education and pass her N.E.W.T. exams.
She most likely took all the classes she picked for her N.E.W.T.s before the Horcrux hunt, which were Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Arithmancy, and Ancient Runes.
We all know how much Hermione enjoyed learning. She skipped the last year of school because she felt that Harry would need her help to complete the task of destroying Horcruxes. According to J.K. Rowling, Hermione had a bigger heart than brains (and we know how brainy Hermione was!).
We also know that the Sorting Hat wanted to put Hermione in Ravenclaw but decided to put her in Gryffindor instead. And the Hat is never wrong.
During her time at Hogwarts, Hermione lived to study. During her first year, Hermione considered expulsion worse than death. No wonder she wanted to finish her education.
Hermione was happy to go back to school and to study. Spellbooks and Potions were something she felt at ease with, something that she understood, and we think it gave her peace of mind as well.
Being 17 and actively participating in the war could be traumatizing, but going back to school could have settled Hermione’s mind.
What Did Hermione Do After Hogwarts?
After graduation, Hermione went to work for the Ministry of Magic.
Hermione was a very clever witch, and nobody would be surprised that she got high marks on her N.E.W.T.s. The exam results warranted her admittance to a high position within the wizarding government.
From there, Hermione spread her wings, implementing all her knowledge and determination to better the lives of magic folk and magical creatures. Hermione was very passionate about doing what was right, even if it was a challenging road to achieve it.
Within the Ministry, Hermione changed jobs a few times, feeling that each department she worked for needed her expertise. She was determined to change all the old and unfair laws and set new ones in place that would warrant equality for everyone.
Hermione Granger’s Occupations
Hermione held several positions within the Ministry of Magic. She started at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.
We remember very well her campaign from school, Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare, the famous S.P.E.W. She was ridiculed for the idea but never gave up fighting for the rights of mistreated house-elves.
Working for the Ministry opened her door to do more. Hermione made significant improvements for house-elves and other creatures.
From there, Hermione moved to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement as a Deputy Head. Alongside her friends, Harry and Ron, and the Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt, she helped eradicate the old prejudices against Muggle-born witches and wizards.
As a Muggle-born herself, Hermione went through a great ordeal during the war and wanted the wizarding world to stop promoting pure-blood laws.
In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, we learned that Hermione achieved the highest position within the Ministry and became Minister for Magic, succeeding Kingsley Shacklebolt.
In our opinion, someone as smart, brave, compassionate, and determined as Hermione Granger deserves to be the leader of the wizarding community.
Final Thoughts
At first, Hermione struck us as an “insufferable know-it-all,” but being friends with Harry and Ron mellowed her down a bit. Not enough to forget where she wanted to be and what she wanted to do.
After finishing Hogwarts, Hermione went through the Ministry of Magic like a bushy-haired storm from one department to another and changed laws (and lives) for the better. She earned the highest possible honor and became the Minister for Magic.
